Leadership development training & and awesome new adventure!
Pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone to become a future global leader will be challenging, but that's how you grow! As a leader on one of our programs you'll:

Join an inspiring and empowering community of challenge leaders from across Australia.

Gain essential and unique skills to help you stand out in future employment opportunities.

Establish your passion and put your skills into practice as you make a real impact in some of the most less-developed areas of the world.

Create an amazing team and form lifelong friendships.

Have the time of your life travelling overseas!
Step 1: Before you travel

Choose a destination that excites you the most, a program that aligns with your interests and passions, as well as a time to travel.

Arrange a time for your leadership induction and schedule a regular time to catch-up with your mentor for on-going support.

Attend one of our amazing leadership training weekends in Melbourne, hosted by leadership professionals and attended by challenge leaders from across Australia.

Build a team of likeminded, passionate individuals to join you on this life-changing adventure. Spread the word through social media posts, by attending university events and coordinating lecture shout outs.

Host meetings with your team in the lead up to your program to build a strong team dynamic and organise at least one team fundraising event for our charity, the FutureSense Foundation.
More perks

The training weekend will give you the skills you need to motivate your team, deal with any conflict proactively and know when to ask for extra support from our in-country team. Most importantly, we want you to have an amazing time on your challenge and savour all the wonderful memories!
While you're overseas
Everything will be just as new to you as it will be for your team members, which is why you’ll have the full support of our in-country team. Your role as a leader will be to inspire your team to work well together.

Use your teams’ strengths and experience to coordinate impactful community development activities.

Work alongside our in-country team to organise regular debrief and reflection sessions to help support them in their experience.

Suggest group cultural activities in your free time to help build a positive team dynamic and encourage everyone to make the most of your experience overseas.

Act as group photographer so we can keep up to date with all the amazing things you do!
Being a successful leader

Checking in regularly with your mentor so that they can assist you as you build and manage your own community of people who care.

Spreading the word and promoting your trip on campus and through social media, making sure to stay in touch with everyone interested.

Attending at least one of our leadership training weekends in Melbourne.
