Despite Nepal’s rich culture, incredible natural scenery and delicious food, Nepal faces challenging conditions and lacks access to quality healthcare, education and income-generating opportunities. Through our partnerships with local schools, healthcare facilities and women’s groups, we care continuously working to build community capacity to overcome development challenges.

Our team is based on the ground all year round, working hand in hand with the local community – this ensures that all our programs meet current community needs and are part of a long-term plan that aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. By joining a program in Nepal, and contributing to our community projects, you will use your skills, knowledge and passions to create lasting, positive impact.

Nepal Social Impact Challenge

Challenge Overview

A major challenge facing the community in Nepal is the lack of access to quality education. Without education, the community’s ability to develop the skills needed for employment and break the cycle of poverty is severely impacted.

Schools are often underfunded, with limited hands-on learning and a lack of fluent English educators (one of the most important skills needed for advancing in school, university and employment). This is where you come in! By joining our Nepal Social Impact Challenge, you will help to inspire local learners in their education as you contribute to long-term education projects in Nepal.

Honestly, it was the best 2 weeks, and I would do it again in a heartbeat... Sharing this journey with such a positive and supportive team made the experience even more meaningful, and it reminded me of the power of community, even across different cultures and backgrounds.

It was an amazing experience; there’s nothing I would change about it. I’ve made such great friendships and have enjoyed leaving my handprint on the world.

Nepal Climate Action Challenge

Challenge Overview

Despite the natural beauty of the Himalayas, Nepal faces significant environmental challenges.

Air pollution in and around Kathmandu has been escalating rapidly, posing serious health risks to the local population. Additionally, the widespread use of single-use plastics across the country, coupled with low recycling rates, exacerbates the problem. Did you know plastics are often disposed of by burning, further contributing to the already hazardous levels of air pollution.

By joining our Nepal Climate Action Challenge, you will be at the forefront of change as you work on some of our long-term development projects, aimed at raising environmental awareness in Nepal!

The fact that I was able to complete the trip has made me learn that I'm more capable than I previously believed! Overall, a very good learning experience and would recommend it if you're up for a good challenge.
