Peru Social Impact Challenge
Make a real difference in local communities while exploring Peru’s culture, landscapes, and people.
- Peru
- Education & Community
Challenge Snapshot
- Help lead English & STEM workshops in rural schools.
- Work with local NGOs on community welfare projects.
- Support sustainable agriculture in Quechua communities.
Overview
Peru is known for its ancient history, breathtaking Andean highlands, and warm community spirit, offering a meaningful setting for your Global Citizenship journey. However, many families in the Sacred Valley face barriers such as limited access to quality education and future opportunities. Based in the Sacred Valley, you’ll support local schools and communities by designing and delivering engaging workshops in areas such as conversational English, STEM and creative arts, helping young learners broaden their learning, build confidence, and raise their aspirations for the future.
This program brings together community-focused work, cultural discovery, and practical experience, giving you the chance to develop confidence, connect with others, and support impact that lasts beyond the program.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals
*Note: Deposits are processed in USD. Stripe handles all currency conversion automatically. If you have other dates in mind or would like to travel as an individual, email us at [email protected] and we’ll be more than happy to help!

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the program cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the program, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programs. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Program Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the program.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!Â
