Overview
Good oral health can change more than a smile. It builds confidence, supports overall wellbeing, and helps communities live healthier lives. On the Thailand Oral Health Promotion Challenge, you’ll work alongside the FutureSense Foundation, local schools, healthcare providers, and community groups to deliver engaging oral health initiatives that encourage healthy habits and improve access to preventative care.
Across rural northern Thailand, many communities face limited access to oral health education, trained professionals, and preventative dental care, increasing the risk of avoidable oral health conditions. Using your skills and knowledge, you’ll help design interactive health promotion activities, support community oral health screenings, and contribute to long-term projects that strengthen community wellbeing and improve oral health awareness.

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.Â
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
