- Support after-school programs for disadvantaged children.
- Connect with local families through genuine cultural exchange.
Overview
What if your internship could take you halfway across the world? In northern Thailand, you’ll become part of the FutureSense Foundation team, working alongside local educators and community partners on projects that strengthen education and create lasting opportunities for young people. Based in the beautiful mountain town of Mae Sariang and surrounded by breathtaking scenery and welcoming Hill Tribe communities, you’ll experience education from a completely different perspective while gaining valuable international experience.
Many schools across rural northern Thailand face ongoing challenges, including limited resources, overcrowded classrooms, and barriers to quality education. As an Education Intern, you’ll contribute to long-term projects that support local teachers, strengthen learning outcomes, and create engaging educational opportunities for children. From researching local education challenges and developing curriculum to supporting teacher development and delivering interactive learning experiences, every project is designed to create sustainable, community-led impact.

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!Â
