- Support community-led health education alongside local partners.
Overview
Join a team of passionate Global Citizens making a meaningful difference in the health and wellbeing of communities in western Fiji. You will be based outside the town of Nadi on Viti Levu, working within the Sabeto village cluster, a vibrant group of communities where access to quality health education remains a real and pressing need, and where the desire for positive change is strong.
Rural Fijian communities face genuine challenges around access to healthcare information, preventative health practices, and community health education. On the Fiji Health Promotion Challenge, you will help bridge that gap, working alongside local nursing station staff, school teachers, women’s groups, and youth organisations to deliver engaging, practical health workshops and awareness campaigns that empower people to live healthier lives.
Your work will be collaborative and community-led throughout. You will be partnering with local health professionals and community leaders who know their communities best, supporting and amplifying the vital work they are already doing on the ground.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Are you looking to elevate your experience?
Build your own community of people who care and inspire a team of Global Citizens to join you on this epic adventure. This is your chance to step up as a global leader and showcase your awesome leadership skills.
Not only will you feel a great sense of achievement, but it’s an experience that’s guaranteed to make you stand out in any future employment opportunity.
Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
