- Nepal
Challenge Snapshot
- Collaborate with schools, women's groups & community partners on sustainable health initiatives.
- Encourage healthier futures through activities that build knowledge, confidence & positive lifestyle choices.
- Bring health education to life through interactive wellbeing workshops.
Overview
Discover a different side of Nepal as you live and work in the historic community of Bhaktapur, just outside Kathmandu. Surrounded by rich culture and welcoming communities, you’ll work alongside local schools, women’s groups and healthcare partners to support long-term health promotion initiatives that make a lasting difference.
Across Nepal, many communities continue to face health challenges linked to limited healthcare resources, low health awareness, and barriers to accessing education. From non-communicable diseases and nutrition to reproductive health, mental wellbeing, and environmental health, these issues affect individuals, families, and communities every day. Through practical, community-led health education, you’ll assist in building knowledge, strengthening community capacity, and supporting healthier futures.
Working as part of a team of Global Citizens, you’ll design and deliver engaging health promotion workshops tailored to local needs.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Are you looking to elevate your experience?
Build your own community of people who care and inspire a team of Global Citizens to join you on this epic adventure. This is your chance to step up as a global leader and showcase your awesome leadership skills.
Not only will you feel a great sense of achievement, but it’s an experience that’s guaranteed to make you stand out in any future employment opportunity.
Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
