Peru Social Impact Challenge
Make a real difference in local communities while exploring Peru’s culture, landscapes, and people.
- Peru
- Education & Community
Challenge Snapshot
- Help teach English & STEM in rural schools.
- Work with local NGOs on community welfare projects.
- Support sustainable agriculture in Quechua communities.
Overview
Imagine stepping into a classroom where your ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm can make a real difference. Set in Peru’s spectacular Sacred Valley, this challenge gives you the opportunity to work alongside local schools, share your knowledge, and learn just as much from the community as they learn from you.
Many schools in rural Peru continue to face challenges including limited resources, underfunding, and fewer opportunities for practical, hands-on learning. Together with our local team, you’ll assist in creating engaging classroom experiences that encourage curiosity, build confidence, and make learning more interactive for young people.
You’ll facilitate conversational English sessions, deliver Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) and life skills workshops, and contribute to school improvement projects that create brighter, more inspiring places to learn.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!Â
