About Tanzania
Tanzania is a place so unique it leaves a lasting impression on every visitor. A home to people so genuinely warm and welcoming, it’s easy to see why this part of Africa has such an impact on our participants! We work in the city of Arusha, located at the base of the incredible volcano Mt. Meru. It’s known as the gateway to incredible national park destinations including Mt. Kilimanjaro and the Serengeti National Park, perfect places for you to explore in your spare time.
Our Programs in Tanzania
Tanzania is a country that faces major issues of poverty and disadvantage, which is why we need you to help us ignite change. You can choose from a range of projects to make an impact in Cambodia with Challenges Abroad, including:
Make an ethical impact in Tanzania
You will be working with our charity, the FutureSense Foundation, when you’re in Arusha. Our FutureSense Tanzania team are based here year-round and work hand-in-hand with the community to make sure that our programs are meeting current needs and are part of a long-term plan that aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. This model ensures that our participants can make a contribution that will have an ongoing, positive impact in the community.
We are committed to delivering ethical and sustainable programs in Tanzania and around the world, while safeguarding children that we work with and fostering global citizenship. Visit the FutureSense website to learn more about our ongoing sustainable development projects in Tanzania.

Great in-country experience! Will never forget it.

Whilst challenging, this experience was absolutely life changing and definitely an adventure of a lifetime. It was an honour to work with the children and school community in Tanzania. Leading a fantastic team who were passionate about making a change and evolving as Global Citizens was truly rewarding. The trek of Kilimanjaro was incredible, and it was awesome to summit as a team. Our guides and porters were outstanding, encouraging and super accommodating. I think everyone should give this trek a go! It's spectacular! This experience would not have been possible without Challenges Abroad and their awesome team. Their dedication is unmatched. Thank you, CAA!
