Nepal Community Paramedic Challenge
Make a real difference in local communities while exploring Nepal’s culture, landscapes, and people.
- Nepal
Challenge Snapshot
- Design and deliver hands-on first aid and CPR workshops with local schools and community groups.
- Support community emergency preparedness through practical education and awareness activities.
- Work alongside local healthcare professionals and contribute to community health initiatives such as pop-up clinics and health screenings.
Overview
Based in the historic city of Bhaktapur, you’ll immerse yourself in local culture while helping communities build the confidence and skills needed to respond in an emergency.
In many parts of Nepal, particularly rural communities, access to emergency care can be limited. A shortage of trained first responders and delayed access to medical services can lead to preventable health outcomes, making first aid education and emergency response training more important than ever. Working as part of a team, you’ll design and deliver hands-on first aid and CPR workshops that help strengthen community emergency preparedness and equip local people with practical, life-saving skills.
Along the way, you’ll experience a different side of healthcare, connect with local communities, and develop valuable communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills that will stay with you long after your challenge comes to an end.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Are you looking to elevate your experience?
Build your own community of people who care and inspire a team of Global Citizens to join you on this epic adventure. This is your chance to step up as a global leader and showcase your awesome leadership skills.
Not only will you feel a great sense of achievement, but it’s an experience that’s guaranteed to make you stand out in any future employment opportunity.
Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
