Peru Sports Leadership Challenge
Make a real difference in local communities while exploring Peru's culture, landscapes, and people.
- Peru
- Leadership Development
Challenge Snapshot
- Support sustainable agriculture in Quechua communities.
- Visit Machu Picchu and the iconic ruins of the Sacred Valley.
- Develop leadership & teamwork skills in young children.
Overview
Set against the spectacular backdrop of Peru’s Sacred Valley, you’ll work alongside local schools where your energy, creativity, and passion can make a real difference. Many schools continue to face challenges including limited access to quality sports education, practical learning opportunities, and resources that encourage active participation. By introducing fun, inclusive sports activities, you’ll assist in creating learning environments where every child has the chance to grow, lead, and thrive.
Working with our local team, you’ll design and facilitate interactive sports sessions that promote teamwork, leadership, communication, physical wellbeing, and gender equality. You’ll also assist with organising a community sports day that brings students, teachers, and families together to celebrate the power of sport.
- Focused on UN Sustainability Goals

Are flights included?
Flights aren’t included in the programme cost because many participants choose to extend their travels before or after the programme, so booking flights independently gives you the flexibility to arrange your own travel plans. It also works out more cost efficient if you book them.
Do I need any previous experience or qualifications?
You don’t need any previous experience or qualifications to join most of our programmes. We provide comprehensive preparation and support before departure, as well as a detailed Programme Orientation on arrival in-country, ensuring participants feel confident and ready to contribute to the programme.
Can I raise money to fund my trip?
Absolutely! This is something we encourage you to do, and we’ll help you set up an official fundraising page so you can share it with your network to collect donations.
What is the accommodation like?
You’ll either be staying at our hub, or a local partner guesthouse in dorm-style accommodation, sharing your room with up to three other participants. There are western showers and toilets, as well as communal spaces for relaxing. While you will be provided with home comforts, they will be different to your usual standards and all part of the challenge!
